Sorry for anyone who thinks something might be wrong. I have not blogged in a long time because I no longer have a computer making it very difficult to post. Because now I have to make time to both type up a blog and get on the internet all in one session at the computer. Additionally, facebook at the university is disabled so that people will study for exams instead of use facebook. Therefore, if you want to contact me email inglese3@tcnj.edu and I will get back to you there. Additionally, please inform those that are waiting for me to post the blog link on facebook that I have posted a new blog I am just unable to get on facebook for the remainder of my trip.
As for my week some amazing things happened, like I received a bonus on my phone and I got to talk to my family for hours on the phone and CIEE had there farewell dinner and it went wonderfully. Besides the dinner I have done nothing out of the usual. The only time I got to go out was on Sunday May, 1st with one of the dance TAs. We went to a quiet bar and I got to try a new type of drink made from a local alcohol with some lime juice. It tasted better than I expected and it was a nice peaceful night. Outside of that I have been studying a little, but the majority of my time goes to dancing. I have a performance called Bare Bones, Hybrid on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday so I have lived at the dance hall lately. We practice everyday and for the last three days we have closed after three am. The worst part is that we only dance for about thirty minutes the rest of the time is wasted talking or watching the other pieces that are involved in the performance. There are five different pieces all choreographed by a four hundred level (senior) dance major. The technical dress rehearsal is tonight (Wednesday) and we are not prepared. We practiced today for about three hours, but everyone still did not show up. I hope everything goes well, I know I have done my part so there is nothing else I can do. I also had my dance exam for traditional dance yesterday (Tuesday) and it did not go as well as I would have hoped. I can speak for eighty percent of the class when I say that we were unprepared for the exam and in the future it should be approached in a different manner.
I have had no time to go out or even breathe with the dance show right around the corner, so until Saturday I will have no time to get back to a computer. I have an exam in Twi on Sunday and I leave Monday for Togo and Benine and do not return until May 16th, so you may not hear from me for a while. Not to worry because I am fine and will try to get on the day after I get back although I will have to write an exam, so I may not have time.
